Welcome to the Dr. Bear Clinic, a place where children’s health comes first.

Our concept represents the best available primary pediatric care that can be provided at the current professional level.

Meet our medical team and the principles of our work.

The Dr. Bear Clinic offers modern pediatric care based on the latest international recommendations. Our doctors work uniformly according to proven medical procedures to ensure the same quality of care regardless of the specific attending physician. They reject outdated or unproven methods and avoid unnecessary prescription of medication. Children only receive antibiotics or cough syrups when they are truly needed.

Great emphasis is placed on vaccination, which follows the recommendations of Czech and international authorities (WHO, CDC, vaccine societies). The goal is to protect children as early as possible; therefore, vaccines are commonly applied simultaneously, as is standard in developed countries.

The clinic takes a partnership approach to parents – families are actively involved in decision-making. Doctors provide information on the benefits and risks of procedures as well as legislative duties, but decisions are made together.

Care is designed to be as comprehensive as possible. The team includes experts from multiple specialties and ensures follow-up hospital care when needed, though hospitalizations are only indicated after careful consideration. The outpatient clinics are equipped with modern medical technology including ultrasound, and the results of basic tests are available the same day.

Our services also include medical assessments carried out in accordance with legislation, with an emphasis on protecting families’ rights. Communication is handled in a modern app, where requests can be sent and urgent matters are resolved immediately. Thanks to the appointment system, sick and healthy children are separated, so the waiting room remains safe and uncrowded.

We also regard support for breastfeeding as significant. The clinic has no ties to milk substitute manufacturers and follows the international WHO code. We collaborate with lactation consultants, who help mothers with breastfeeding and its long-term maintenance.

We work according to the latest medical procedures

In our outpatient clinics we care for patients using procedures that are solely in accordance with current international recommendations. We regularly update medical procedures and implement them in our practice. All our doctors therefore proceed in the same way, including the method of maintaining documentation, in order to ensure the same quality of care regardless of which doctor is currently caring for a patient. We strictly reject disputed and unproven medical procedures that do not have any effect or could even harm children, regardless of whether they are used elsewhere due to habit.

We do not prescribe unnecessary medication to children

As an example, we can mention the non-indicated administration of syrups for coughs and common colds, which are banned in many Western countries. We recommend antibiotics and other medications only in clearly indicated cases with the aim of reducing side effects and ensuring treatment only for children who truly need it.

We vaccinate according to international recommendations

We vaccinate children based on current recommendations from the Czech Vaccinology Society, the World Health Organization, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and other professional organizations. When creating vaccination schedules, we aim for the earliest possible protection of children, which includes the common use of simultaneous vaccine applications, similar to the schedules recommended in the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, and many other countries.

We are your partners in childcare

However, we do not force our modern procedures on anyone; we always properly inform families about the benefits and risks of various procedures, as well as the duties to get vaccinated according to current Czech legislation and options for additional vaccinations. We reject the paternalistic style of medicine where the doctor dictates and the family must blindly obey. We strive for the family to be part of the decision-making process. At the same time, we require a certain level of cooperation from the family so that the care for our patients and your children is as effective as possible.

Comprehensive care

We strive to have doctors of various specialties in our team to ensure comprehensive care even beyond standard pediatrics. In cooperation with hospitals, we can arrange hospital care if necessary, but we always indicate hospitalization cautiously and discuss the entire situation in full with the family. We primarily aim to resolve everything through outpatient care and minimize hospitalizations.

Modern medical equipment including ultrasound

In our clinics, we provide a wide range of modern diagnostic tests and perform blood tests ourselves, with the results of basic tests available the same day. Our facility provides all types of ultrasound examinations for children without the need for long waiting times.

Medical assessment activities in pediatrics

Our care includes legally mandated medical assessment activities. We do not perform this by blindly stamping forms; instead, we issue all assessments to families based on valid legislation with the aim of ensuring the highest quality care for our patients at all levels, including the legislative one. We always try to advise families on what their rights are.

21st-century communication. Send us requests conveniently via the app

To communicate with families, we use a modern online app that you can have on your mobile phone. This communication channel eliminates the stress of not being able to reach a doctor by phone and significantly makes it easier for the family to discuss anything at any time. We use a prioritization process, meaning urgent problems are addressed immediately, giving the family peace of mind that no complications will arise due to a delay.

We have an empty waiting room where you won’t get infected

When scheduling appointments, we strictly separate sick children from healthy ones to minimize the risk of unnecessary infectious transmission. The aforementioned online communication via the app also helps us achieve this.

Breastfeeding and lactation consultancy

Our facility has no commercial cooperation with manufacturers of milk substitute. We uphold the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes, a set of rules issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) that aims to limit inappropriate marketing and protect breastfeeding. You will not find any advertisements for breast-milk substitutes in our outpatient facilities.

Through collaborating lactation consultants, we strive to provide maximum support for long-term breastfeeding for our patients’ mothers.

Our team consists not only of doctors and nurses, but also of professional and always smiling receptionists. They are ready to help, solve any problem and ensure your visit goes smoothly. Furthermore, we complement our communication skills with the latest technology – we use a patient app through which we handle all communication with parents quickly and conveniently.

In the Dr. Bear Clinic team, we combine modern medicine, a human approach and technical innovation. A place where expertise meets empathy and where communication is not just a word, but the foundation of our care.
